Lena will be playing the role of police officer in her next


Of late, Mollywood is by all accounts taking a distinct fascination with stories revolved around ladies cops. Half a month prior director Lal Jose had reported such a movie. And currently the newcomer director Rahim Khader is likewise outfitting to make one. The undertaking, named Vanitha, has entertainer Lena showing up as a cop in the film. The film is a social drama and will go on floors on January 1, in Perumbavoor, Kochi.
Rahim, who has also scripted the film, tells us, “Our film tries to show that police officer are also human and have their own issues to cope with. The story is based on the incidents in the lives of three people and pans out over a day. We are shooting it in Perumbavoor.”
Entertainers like Salim Kumar, Sajitha Madhathil, Kalabhavan Navas, Sreejith Ravi, and Navas Vallikkunnu will be important for the film. Sajitha’s character appears as a petitioner in the movie, says the director.Lena Kumar
The director says that the word police headquarters regularly infers different wrongdoing-related scenes, similar to burglary, lathi charge, pursuing of hoodlums, weapons, and such. “However, it is also a place where many family and social issues get amicably settled. The officers, who do the same, also have their own personal problems, which are juggling alongside it all. In this film, Lena’s character is such a person. The story unfolds on a crucial day in her life, during which a petitioner arrives. Dealing with the issue helps Vanitha to handle something in her life as well,” says Rahim.
