It has been reported that the blue verification tick on actor Thalapathy Vijay’s Twitter account has been removed. The reason for this action is currently unknown. The blue tick is a verification badge that Twitter uses to confirm the authenticity of public figures’ accounts. It is not clear if the removal of the blue tick is permanent or temporary. Twitter has not yet commented on this matter.
Famous Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar as well as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lost their blue certified ticks. Twitter Blue costs Rs 900 per month on iOS and Android in India, and Rs 650 per month on the Web client.
