‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam‘ is a Movie directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery starring Mammootty in the lead role. The world premiere of the much-awaited film was held at the Kerala International Film Festival which ends tomorrow. There was a huge rush of delegates for all three screenings of the film. There were also delegates who could not watch the film due to the crowd despite having queued for hours. Whether the film will have a theatrical release was a buzzing question among the delegates. One of the delegates had asked Lijo Jose Pellissery about this during the question session after the premiere.
Now the official decision has come in that regard. This film is produced by Mammootty under the banner of Mammootty Company. The announcement that the film will have a theatrical release has come through the company’s social media page. No release date has been announced except that it will be coming soon.
The story of the film, where Mammootty plays James, the owner of a theater troupe, is the same as that of Lijo. The screenplay is written by S Harish. Cinematography by Theni Eshwar. Lijo has made the film with a different approach from the previous films. Along with Ashokan, Rajesh Sharma, Vipin Atlee, and the late Poo Ramu are the other characters in the film.
