Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan movie will release on September 30

Director Mani Ratnam has finished the shoot of the initial part of his adaptation of the epic novel, which has been titled ‘Ponniyin Selvan-1’. The much-anticipated showstopper is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, and it has music scored by AR Rahman. Presently, the producers have officially declared that the film will hit venues on September 30, 2022.

 

The story is set in the tenth century during a wild time in the Chola Empire when the power struggle between different branches of the ruling family caused violent rifts between the potential successors to the reigning emperor. The first look banner of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Trisha have likewise been released.

It is an undertaking story where brave soldiers, cunning spies, and evil schemers all attempt to win the empire for themselves. A common conflict becomes inevitable until the scores can be settled. This political and military strife prompts the Cholas to turn into the most prosperous and strong realm in the landmass and one of the best and long-reigning ever.

The film is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and has an enormous star projected which Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and a few others.

The film had gone on floors in December 2019, yet the shoot must be required to be postponed for a long time in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The technical team comprises Ravi Varman wrenching the camera for the film and Sreekar Prasad dealing with the editing of this film, whose music is created by AR Rahman.
