“Jailer”, an action-comedy film featuring Rajanikanth in the lead role, is creating quite a buzz. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film sees Rajini portraying a jailer, with a star-studded supporting cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Siva Rajkumar, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and Mohanlal in a key role. The film’s hype is being leveraged by the Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association. In a bid to maximize the film’s reach, the Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association has penned a letter to theater owners, urging them to screen “Jailer” across all theaters in Tamil Nadu. If this request is granted, the film will enjoy a significant screen count. Currently, early morning fan shows are not permitted in Tamil Nadu, with the first shows only allowed to commence at 9 am.
To circumvent this, the association has proposed the idea of screening a major film in all theaters to ensure maximum viewership. This move could potentially boost the film’s first-day collection significantly. Rajini’s appeal at the audio launch for everyone to watch the film in theaters has further fueled the excitement among theater owners.”Jailer” marks the 169th film in Rajini’s illustrious career and is the first time Rajinikanth and Mohanlal are sharing the screen. Rajini’s character is named Muthuvel Pandian, and Vinayakan also plays a pivotal role in the film.
