67 films, including nine in the competition category, will be screened at the International Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram today. Mammootty Lijo Jose Pellissery‘s co-production of Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam will have its world premiere show today.
The show will be held at Tagore Theater at 3.30 pm. The film, set in the backdrop of Tamil Nadu, will be screened in the competition section. Today’s screenings include Thug of War, a love story set against the location of the last days of British colonialism, Brazil’s Cordially Yours, and Manipuri’s Our Home.
24 films including Burning Days, Jonas True, A Love Package, Blue Kaftan, Night Siren, and Dear Satyajith will be screened in the world cinema category. The Indonesian film Satan’s Slaves 2 will also be released. Chamara will be screened today as a tribute to late screenwriter John Paul.
