‘Engineering to Fashion Design’.A signature stitched with flair!

Sakhi – Sew in Style stands out from the rest with its distinctive signature embroidery style and unwavering commitment to complete customer satisfaction.

Sakhi- Sew in Style stands out with its unique embroidery and a commitment to complete customer satisfaction. Starting in 2017, this bridal boutique is now working hard to become a top player in the wedding industry.

Sophia Abraham, a civil engineer turned fashion designer, opened her boutique two years ago. Located in a 2,600 sq ft store at Kaloor, Sophia shares, “I always had a passion for fashion designing. Even though engineering was the usual career path, I decided to pursue what I loved. After working in the corporate world for six years, I gained the management skills and discipline needed to start my own venture. With the support of my family, I started the boutique.”

The path wasn’t filled with just pastels and glitter; it was challenging. “My passion for this field motivated me to overcome every obstacle. I credit it all to my customers, who have now become like family,” she expresses. “Numerous brides come to us without a clue about their wedding attire. As a designer, Sakhi has consistently aimed to guide and educate them, taking into consideration their skin tone and preferences. Ultimately, customer satisfaction is the top priority,” adds Sophia.

Sakhi places a strong emphasis on customization, stating, “We personalize everything, including the colors. We create our own color palette.” True to its name, the brand embeds embroidery with a distinctive style, and precision is paramount. Sophia remarks, “Each garment’s embroidery work receives meticulous attention to detail.”

In line with the festive season, Sakhi recently introduced a collection named ‘Kanikkonna.’ Sophia explains, “Inspired by the golden shower flower, which is significant in Vishu celebrations, the collection features ethnic wear adorned with embroidered flowers in yellow and white hues.”

Currently, Sophia is working on unveiling a line of casual kurtis and sarees, expanding the brand’s offerings.
