The 53rd State Film Awards have been announced. Kunchacko Boban’s ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu’ shined the most when the state film awards were announced. The film won many awards including the best screenplay. Ratheesh Balakrishna Phuduwal, who is also the director, received the award for the best screenplay.
Kunchacko Boban was shortlisted for Best Actor for his portrayal of Kozhumel Rajeevan in the film but had to settle for a special mention. Chakochan was able to envision tough competition with Mammootty. Nna Thaan Case Kodu also bagged the award for the best popular film. The award for the best background score was also won by Nna Thaan Case Kodu through Don Vincent. The award for the best character actor went to TP Kunhikrishnan who played the judge in the film. This film won for art direction. Jyotish Shankar is the best art director.
