Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail also known as Mammootty and lovingly referred to by his admirers/fans as Mammokka, has appeared in more than 400 films throughout the course of his five-decade acting career. He is one of the busiest performers, and his roles in interesting and difficult productions have frequently shown his talent. Mammootty is an unusual actor in the Indian film industry. His personality and skills set him apart from many other prominent people in the world.

Mammootty has appeared on screen in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, and Kannada, six different languages. He changed his name to Sajin

After a succession of flops, Mammootty desperately needed a hit film to keep him afloat. At this point, Mammootty made the decision to change his name from Mammootty to Sajin. He is portrayed by Sajin in the 1981 film “Sphodanam.”

Mammootty got the National Award in 1999 for Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, but he wasn’t ready to cut off his moustache. He spent two years practising law there after receiving his LLB from Ernakulam Law College. But fate had something in store for him. He supposedly made his acting debut in the “Anubhavangal Paalichakal” movie’s uncredited surging mob scene.

Mammootty has always been involved in humanitarian endeavours and has a heart of gold, making him a passionate philanthropist. He has acted as the goodwill ambassador for a number of charitable causes, including the Street India Movement. The organisation strives to help street children by providing them with better living. Mammootty also contributes to the Kozhikode, Kerala-based Pain and Palliative Care Society. This organisation assists cancer patients in revitalising their lives.
