Farhana Arrives On May 12 Amid Controversy

Farhana is a film in which Tamil actress Aishwarya Rajesh plays the titular character. The director is Nelson Venkatesan, who is known for his different themed films Oru Nal Kooth and Monster. Nelson Venkatesan himself has written the screenplay of the film. The teaser of the film received a great reception. And controversies and struggles started demanding that the film be banned in Tamil. In this background, Farhana will hit the screens on May 12.

Malayalam star Anumol and director Selvaraghavan, Jithan Ramesh, and Aishwarya Dutta are playing the lead roles in the female-centric film. The filmmakers say that this will be an entertaining quality film that will attract everyone. The teaser hints that the theme of the film is the emotional problems faced by women in society, especially girls working in IT companies and Muslim girls. I always believe that writing (story) is important for a film. I decided that my third film should be very different. While I was writing Farhana’s story, it was turning into a soulful story without me even realizing it. I grew up in Pudupetta, Chennai.

I grew up with Muslim friends. So why can’t the story background of the film I take be the experience background I grew up with? Can’t that culture be the background? Farhana is born from the thought. I do films related to religion. Controversies and discussions are going on that it is going to hurt religious feelings. I have taken a film about my friends
