This new feed, named “Meta Verified,” will display content only from customers who subscribe to ‘Verified,’ Instagram’s subscription service, in addition to the existing Following and Favorites feeds.After introducing verification options for creators, Instagram expanded this to include paid verification for brands. The exact criteria for what will appear in the Meta Verified feed, whether it includes posts from all users with a blue checkmark or only Meta-verified users, remains unclear. The introduction of this special feed aims to provide enhanced visibility to posts from both consumers and brands who subscribe to Instagram services through payment, allowing users to differentiate between brands and creators as distinct categories.
The monthly rate for Meta Verified is $5.99 for Facebook Web customers and $6.99 for iOS and Android customers. Subscribers to Meta Verified enjoy additional services from Meta as well as the coveted blue verification checkmark. This system, which mimics Twitter’s approach, has been introduced by Meta as a revenue-generating initiative.
