Google Pay introduces new features. Henceforth transactions below the specified amount can be done without entering the UPI PIN. For this, UPI Lite services have been introduced this time as part of making transactions easier and faster. Through this, only instant transactions up to a maximum of Rs 200 can be done at a time. To activate the UPI Lite feature in Google Pay, click on ‘Activate UPI Lite’ on the profile page. Then once the account linking process is completed, customers can add funds up to Rs 2,000.
If a user completes a transaction below Rs 200, it will be automatically redirected to the UPI Lite account. Additionally, users should also select the ‘Pay Pin-Free’ option to complete transactions. With this, the UPI Lite feature will be active on Google Pay.
