Vijay Deverakonda, the popular actor, has joined hands with director Parasuram for his upcoming film, which is currently referred to as VD13. The production of the film commenced today with an official puja ceremony held in Hyderabad. Mrunal Thakur, who made an impressive debut in Telugu cinema with “Sita Ramam,” has been roped in as the female lead. The film, yet to be titled, will begin its shooting schedule in the near future.
The film’s makers took to Twitter to share some photos from the official launch ceremony of VD13. The event was attended by the film’s cast and crew. In the pictures, Vijay Deverakonda can be seen sporting a new look, with a lean physique, short hairstyle, and trimmed beard. He wore a green kurta paired with white pajamas for the auspicious puja ceremony. Mrunal Thakur looked stunning in a peach-colored ethnic suit. This marks her third Telugu film. During the launch, producer Shyam Prasad Reddy performed the ceremonial clap, while Govardhan Rao Deverakonda directed the first shot, and popular financier Satti Rangaiah switched on the camera. The film is currently in the pre-production stage, and shooting is scheduled to commence soon.
