Makers of Vijay’s upcoming film Varisu released the trailer at 5 p.m., on 4th Jan delighting the star’s fans. Despite mixed reactions, the promo video has been well-received by the star’s fans. At 7 p.m., the trailer for the film’s Telugu adaptation, Vaarasudu, was also released.
As expected, the Tamil trailer has begun setting new YouTube records. It has already received 10 million views, setting a new record. The record number of views was attained in two hours and ten minutes, easily surpassing the previous record set by Ajith’s Thunivu trailer. The viewers have now reached 20 million views.

After only five hours, the latter had surpassed 10 million views. Needless to say, Thalapathy fans are rejoicing on social media. While Thunivu will be officially released on January 11, the makers of Varisu have yet to provide an update on its release date.
