State Film Awards Controversy KP Demands Public Apology From Ranjith And Anildev

On Thursday, when the state film awards will be distributed, the leaders of the Samajwa Munnetra Front announced in a press conference that they will organize a protest in front of the venue Nishagandhi Auditorium. This is in protest of the remarks made by the Chairman of the Film Academy, Ranjith, against the Renaissance hero Aratupuzha Velayudhapanikar. Chairman of the organization KP said that legal action will be taken against Ranjith. Anildev said.The protest program will be inaugurated by Swami Satchidananda, Sivagiri Mathadhipri and President of Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust. A.I.Y.F. State Secretary T.T. Jis Mon will preach. 

Director Vinayan had accused Ranjith of insulting the film ‘Pathombatham Sandhalam’, which depicted the lives of Aratupuzha Velayudha Panikkars, as ‘garbage’ and that he intervened to prevent the film from getting an award. “Renaissance in Kerala started with Aratupuzha Velayudhapanikar. The chairman of the film academy criticized this legendary hero. It is a shame for cultural Kerala that Ranjith Academy remains in the position of chairman. If he does not apologize publicly, KP will organize further protest programs. Anildev said. Sindhu Shaji, Vice President of Samajya Munnetra Munna Aluva Unit, Treasurer K.K. Mohanan and Swami Pranav Swarupananda, president of Cherthala Tapovanam Srinarayana Dharma Charitable Trust, also attended the press conference.
