The much-anticipated Rahman starter, “Samara”, has announced a new release date. Initially slated for an August 4 release, the film’s debut was postponed due to technical issues. The film is now set to hit theaters on August 11. Magic Frames will be distributing the film, which is written and directed by newcomer Charles Joseph. The film is produced by MK Subhakaran and Anuj Varghese Willyadath under the Peacock Art House banner.”Samara” is a science fiction thriller featuring a star-studded cast. Alongside Rahman, the film features renowned Bollywood actor Meer Sarwar, Tamil actor Bharath, Sanjana Dipu, Rahul Madhav, Binoj Willya, Govind Krishna, Teenij, Tom Scott, and many others. The film introduces eighteen new stars and includes thirty-five international actors. The majority of the film was shot in picturesque locations such as Kullu-Manali, Dharamsala, and Jammu and Kashmir.
The film’s technical team includes Sinu Siddharth as the cinematographer, Gopi Sundar providing the background music, Deepak Varrier as the music director, and RJ Pappan handling the editing. Other team members include Arvind Babu for sound design, Maria Sinu for costume design, Ranjith Kotheri for art direction, and Vishnu Aikarassery as the chief associate director. The film’s production is managed by Preman Perumbavoor, with PR handled by Manju Gopinath. The film’s design is by Mamijo, stills by CB Cheeran, marketing by Binu Bringforth, digital promotion by Obscura, and distribution by Magic Frames.
