Vignesh Shivan shared a photo of him and Nayanthara holding their twin babies in arms as they prepare to celebrate Christmas 2022. The lovebirds have dressed up their children as Santa Clause, and we can’t get enough of this happy photo of them feeling all Christmassy as they celebrate the day of carols and hymns together.
Vignesh Shivan revealed a sneak peek of a personalized Christmas tree as well. The video showed Nayan and Vignesh, new parents, decorating the tree with fairy lights, cute glass nameplates, and red socks with their babies’ names Uyir and Ulagam written on them.

Four months after their grand wedding in Chennai, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan announced they had become proud parents of two children via surrogacy. “All Our prayers, our ancestors’ blessings combined wit all the good manifestations made, have come 2gethr in the form Of 2 blessed babies for us Need all ur blessings…” he wrote further on Instagram. “Life looks brighter & more beautiful,” new father Vignesh Shivan expressed in a heartfelt note alongside two beautiful photos on Instagram.
Soon after they announced their decision to become parents through surrogacy, the couple made headlines for all the wrong reasons. According to the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, passed in December of last year, the couple must be married for five years, and the surrogate must be a married relative with her own child.
The state government launched an investigation into the matter, and the final report stated Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan submitted the required documents as proof, revealing they registered their marriage six years ago in 2016. All legal documents needed for the ICMR were submitted.
