The long-awaited movie Gold, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara as its two leads, is finally being released today. Alphonse Puthren, a hitmaker, directed the film, which is billed as a comedy thriller. Gold’s producers released the first song from the movie in advance of its official release. Actor Deepti Sati and leading man Prithviraj Sukumaran are featured in the first song from the movie Gold, titled “Thanne Thanne.” The entertaining song video is currently gaining lots of attention.
The upbeat song highlights the big aspirations of the lead character “Danger” Joshy, performed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who hopes to lead a lavish life with his fiancée Radha. The Thanne Thanne song video is amusingly over-the-top and unabashedly goofy, much like a few of the songs from Alphonse Puthren’s most recent two albums, Neram and Premam. And because of these characteristics, the first song from Gold is a thoroughly entertaining listen. In the song, Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is primarily known for his dramatic performances, shows off his playful and vivacious side. Joshy’s fiancée Radha, played by Deepti Sati, has enhanced the actor’s performance with her dance moves.
“#GOLD An Alphonse Puthren Film! Here is the first video song!,” wrote Prithviraj Sukumaran, who dropped the first single on his official social media handles. Rajesh Murugesan, who is widely known for his songs in Alphonse Puthren’s Premam, wrote the song “Thanne Thanne.” The song’s vocals were also contributed by the composer and Vijay Yesudas. Shabareesh Varma, an actor, and writer wrote the lyrics.

The film was initially planned to be released in theatres for Onam this year. It is Alphonse Puthren’s debut on-screen cooperation with both Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara. However, the project’s creators chose to wait until the end of the year before beginning post-production since they did not want to rush. The team also reshot a few scenes in October since director Alphonse wasn’t satisfied with them. The comedy-main thriller’s cast includes more than 60 eminent performers from the Malayalam and Tamil cinema industries. Magic Frames and Prithviraj Productions collaborated to develop Gold.
