Mammootty and Jyothika, two talented South performers, have paired up for the upcoming movie Kaathal- The Core. On Jyothika’s birthday, the Malayalam megastar revealed the news and the movie’s title poster. Joe Baby, known for The Great Indian Kitchen, is the film’s director. Soon, further information about the movie is anticipated to be released.
Mammootty posted the poster with the same name on his social media and added the following: “Here’s unveiling the title of Mammootty Kampany’s next project Directed by Jeo BabyKaathal – The Core | @kaathalthecore. Wishing a very happy birthday to Jyotika.” Kaathal- The Core is bankrolled by Mammootty’s production house Mammootty Kampany.
Jyothika’s third Malayalam movie is Kaathal- The Core. She has previously appeared in two Malayalam films, Jayaram’s Seetha Kalyanam and Raakkilipattu by Priyadarshan and TK Rajeevkumar. The movie, which is expected to be a family drama, is reportedly set to begin production in November.

For Soorarai Pottru, Jyothika most recently won the Best Feature Film Award. The Swarna Kamal Award was given to the pleased producer for the movie Soorarai Pottru starring her spouse Suriya. In Udanpirappe, the former actress turned producer was last spotted. She appeared in the movie alongside Sasikumar and Samuthirakani.
Bala’s untitled film Suriya41 will feature Suriya. After 20 years, the actor and director finally worked together on a film. Then, he collaborates with director Vetrimaaran on the movie Vaadivaasal. The movie is based on the same-titled Tamil novel by CS Chellappa.
Following this, Suriya has also agreed to take the lead role in director Siva’s upcoming film, Suriya42, which has a working title. In the untitled drama, he will romance Bollywood actress Disha Patani. The team recently wrapped up the first schedule of the film in Goa.
