James Cameron’s Avatar 2: Second Monday Box Office

Avatar-3

At the Indian box office, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water is a one-horse race. The movie is holding up well in India thanks to a well-liked narrative and extremely lucrative ticketing days from the end of the year till the new year. Avatar was confidently predicted to rank as the second-highest Hollywood grosser of all time in India after a strong first week that brought in over Rs. 190 crore nett. However, since the second weekend and the current second Monday have both been greater than the previous best, Avengers: Endgame, the movie will now be vying for the top spot on the list of highest all-time Hollywood grosser in India.

The lucrative week after Christmas is being dominated by Avatar: The Way Of Water at the box office. Avatar 2’s second Monday revenue is greater than its second Friday revenue at roughly Rs. 12.5 crore net (Rs. 15.5 crore gross). It appears that the remaining week’s collections will put it in a good position to surpass the symbolic Rs. 300 cr nett mark on its third Friday, and it will then try to surpass Avengers: Endgame somewhere in mid-January.

This Christmas weekend, the movie did have strong local competition from Cirkus and Dhamaka. With a four-day cume of less than Rs. 25 cr. nett, Cirkus emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the year. Avatar: The Way Of Water continues to be the second most popular option in the state, where it will remain until the release of the Sankranthi in the second week of January, notwithstanding Dhamaka’s success in the Andhra states.

The Day-Wise Nett Box Office Collections Of Avatar: The Way Of Water Are As Follows:-
Week 1 – Rs. 191.50 cr
Second Friday – Rs. 12 cr
Second Saturday – Rs. 19.50 cr
Second Sunday – Rs. 25.50 cr
Second Monday – Rs. 12.50 cr
Total = Rs. 261 cr nett.

Avatar: The Way Of Water has also set the global box office ablaze by minting 900 million dollars globally.
