Now actress Parvathy Thiruvoth has responded to the controversy. Parvathy has responded after the film was removed from Netflix on the complaint that it hurt Hindu sentiments. Parvathy’s response is through Instagram story.
The actor shared that ‘a dangerous situation is being created’. Parvathy also noted that when the film is subjected to censorship like this, it becomes difficult to breathe.
The film, Annapurani, came into controversy when there were widespread complaints that it depicted Sri Ramadev in a bad way, promoted love jihad and hurt religious sentiments. The controversy is due to the scenes in the film where the temple priest’s daughter prays in hijab and cooks biryani. Annapurani hit the theaters in early December. Controversies arose when the film hit Netflix at the end of December.
