Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, one of Bollywood’s most adored couples, are expecting their first child together. After Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt has not committed to any new projects, but it has now come to light that expectant father Ranbir also intends to take a break from acting.
After “Animal,” Ranbir Kapoor will ‘pause from professional commitments’ and not sign on to any other projects. According to the entertainment portal, filming for Animal will restart in the middle of October. The film also stars national crush Rashmika Mandanna. Ranbir reportedly wants to wrap up the schedule as soon as possible. He has already wrapped up filming for Shraddha Kapoor and Luv Ranjan’s untitled film.

Ranbir Kapoor recently appeared in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir teamed up for the first time in Brahmastra. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. Ranbir has made the decision to take this brief hiatus to spend time with the child that he and Alia will have in the near future.
In April of this year, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married. Later, Alia caught everyone off guard when she unexpectedly revealed her pregnancy on social media, sharing a sweet image from her sonography appointment that also included Ranbir Kapoor. In the caption, she said, “Our baby coming soon.”
Wednesday’s baby shower ceremony was attended by Alia’s sisters Pooja and Shaheen Bhatt, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, cousin Karisma Kapoor, and grandma Neila Devi. Anushka Ranjan, Ayan Mukerji, and Karan Johar were also on the guest list. On social media, a number of images from the baby shower event have gone viral. For the special day, Alia wore a beautiful bright yellow outfit.
