The first teaser for the Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan blockbuster “Adipurush” has finally been released by the movie’s producers. But the audience seemed unimpressed, and since then, it has come under fire. The Ram temple at Ayodhya’s top priest, Satyendra Das, reportedly urged on Wednesday that the movie “Adipurush” be immediately banned because it allegedly distorted Lord Ram, Hanuman, and Ravana. He claimed that the movie violated Lord Rama and Hanuman’s dignity by not portraying them as the epic describes them.

However, BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh reportedly asserted that these problems are being created on purpose. Making a movie is not against the law, in his opinion. He then clarified that it is improper to intentionally stir up controversy in order to gain attention.
The Adipurush teaser is also facing huge backlash on social media ever since its release. While some are complaining about ‘poor VFX’, others claim that the film is ‘misrepresenting’ Lord Ram and Ravana.

Adipurush is considered the biggest film in Prabhas’ career. The film is jointly bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Retrophiles. It is a mythological drama that has been made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film will be released in theatres in January 2023, it will compete at the box office with Siddharth Anand’s “Pathaan,” which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham.
