Tovino said that due to being a Malayalam actor, he gets a lot of respect from the rest of the film industry and his desire is to make a film representing Malayalam cinema. Tovino added that Malayalam films are better than Pan-Indian films in that they get the attention of the whole world. Tovino said these things in an interview given to Kaumudi Movies. I am very proud to say that I am basically from the Malayalam industry. Because if you look at other languages, I have acted in Tamil.
Because it is in Malayalam, the respect you get from there is huge. As a Malayali, it is a very proud moment. The respect we get is not necessarily due to our ability, it is due to the behavior and ability of many who have gone there before from here. It is a great joy. As far as I am concerned, I am looking to do films here representing Malayalam cinema. The thing that gives us the most pride is that people recognize and see us through Malayalam films.
