Jithu and Shibu are the main characters in the film. The movie revolves around them till the climax. Bibin George as Jithu and Vishnu Unnikrishnan as Shibu shined on screen. Especially Vishnu Unnikrishnan. Shibu in Fireworks is completely different from the roles he has played in his film career so far. This is a character who keeps goodness somewhere in his heart and loves his sister as much as his life. Vishnu played the character without losing any of his uniqueness.
Jithu and Shibu belong to two regions namely Manjapra and Karunkota. Both sides are separated by a marriage. Their slum war is very old. Karunkota is home to a group of people who are shunned because of their caste, ignored by others, and even feared by the police. Jithu of Manjapra falls in love with a girl named Shimili here. The theme of the film is the uproar over this. And the film says that the human mind is not black and white. The film also reveals the value of friendship. The first half was filled with action and comedy and the second half started with emotional backup giving the audience a great experience. The second half of the film, which revolves around friendships, touched the hearts of every audience. Eyes watered. Conflicts and emotional scenes are the major part of the film and comedy, and as usual, Vishnu and Bibi have given importance.
Except for a few including Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin, all other characters are played by newcomers. Aishwarya Anilkumar, who came as the heroine, also brought her character to the screen beautifully. Those who came as Jeethu’s friends, who acted as his parents, and who came as locals have done their part well. Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan are a hit duo in Malayalam. The duo wrote hits like Hrithik Roshan and Amar Akbar Anthony in Kattappana. Both have proven time and time again that they are also great actors. Bibin and Vishnu, who always travel with big dreams in cinema, directed the film for the first time. That was what made the film ‘Vedikattu’ catch the attention of the audience.
