The movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt, would be released during Valentine’s Day weekend in 2023, according to a statement made by filmmaker Karan Johar earlier in the year. The movie was being shot quickly in order to have a release date of February 10. And today, we can exclusively reveal that the romantic comedy based on a family has been postponed. Now set for a later 2023 release, the film is directed by Karan Johar.
The shoot of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani won’t be completed by February.“Keeping Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy in mind, Karan has postponed the shooting schedule of a film’s key sequence. While the first plan was to shoot in August, the filmmaker will now be shooting the scene once Alia Bhatt is back to shoot after her delivery. He is planning to start this 10-to-15-day schedule with Alia in the first quarter of 2023. The delay in the shooting has, in turn, led to a delay in the film’s release date,” revealed a source.
Alia will film with Karan and Ranveer for three to four days in July before taking a lengthy break. She will resume the shoot in early 2023 and the first film to shoot post the pregnancy will be Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Just 10 to 15 days of the shoot will remain when the July schedule is completed, and that will be finished in the first quarter of 2023. After Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student of The Year, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is Karan’s seventh film to be directed.
