A woman feels off-balance as she wakes up at home. She is aware that something dreadful has occurred to her, but she is unsure of the details. The Teacher, Vivek’s second film as a director, is based on this idea. Devika (Amala Paul), a Physical Education (PE) teacher, and her mounting suspicions regarding the happenings of a specific day are the focus of the Malayalam crime thriller.
Even though the details of the crime aren’t revealed until the halfway point, there are enough hints as to what may have happened, such as Devika standing in front of the mirror and checking her body for bruises, her worry that videos of the crime may have made their way online, and the crime’s secrecy. Devika’s husband Sujith (Hakkim Shah) is unaware of what she is going through and interprets her glum expression as tiredness. She only confides in one other teacher at the school.
As Devika strives to solve the mystery, her discomfort grows and permeates us. Devika’s uncertainties and repressed worries are reflected in Amala’s expressive face as she carries the part with respect. She is surrounded by characters, but they are not fully realized. in especially Sujith.
