Kochi city police questioned actor Vinayakan in the case of insulting Oommen Chandy. Police seized Vinayakan’s mobile phone as crucial evidence. The police team reached Vinayakan’s house in Kalur and questioned him. Ernakulam Town North Police is investigating the complaints against Vinayakan. Vinayakan confessed to the crime during interrogation. It is reported that Vinayakan told the police that he did such a live on Facebook out of anger.

The case has been charged with sections such as speaking provocatively and disrespecting a dead body. Vinayakan has been charged with bailable offenses. Complainant Sanal had staged a one-man strike in front of the Nediyathara police station demanding the arrest of Vinayakan.
