Nepal Court Lifts Ban On Hindi Films Opening Doors To Bollywood Extravaganza

The screening of Hindi films, which had been suspended since Monday, has resumed in Nepal. This is after the High Court canceled the ban. Meanwhile, the ‘Adipurush’ show has not resumed. The screening was stopped when the reference in the movie ‘Adipurush’ that Sita is the daughter of India was controversial. The Nepalese believe that Sita was born in Janakpur in the southeast of Nepal. Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah has announced that all Hindi movies will be banned. Following this, other mayors also took the same decision. The High Court has ordered that no one has the authority to stop the film. But the Kathmandu mayor is of the position that ‘Adipurush’ will not be allowed to be displayed.
