Mollywood Television Actor arrested by Karnataka Police for selling drugs

The Karnataka police detained three drug dealers and seized from them 2.80 kg of marijuana and 191 grammes of MDMA, totaling a value of Rs 12.50 lakh. One of the suspects was a small-screen actress from Kerala.

Siyaz, Mohammad Shahid, and Mangal Thodi Jathin are the accused. The accused are all from Kerala, and Shiyaz was a Malayalam television actress. Police claim that the defendants distributed drugs to privileged locals and students at reputable colleges. They were charged under the Narcotics, Drugs, and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) of 1985 because they were part of an interstate gang.

As they were gathering information, Bengaluru police apprehended two suspects near the NIFT College and took 101 grammes of MDMA and 2.80 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 6 lakh, from them.

After questioning the first two suspects, the police learned that the third suspect was selling drugs close to the service road at Agara Lake. DCP South East C.K. Baba has praised the officers’ efforts in dismantling an international drug cartel.
