The Kerala High Court dismissed the plea filed against the makers of the film ‘Marivillin Gopurangal’ for allegedly cheating by promising to distribute it. It was alleged in the petition that he cheated after receiving the money by promising to distribute the film. But the court ruled that the petition should not stand as it was convinced that the documents submitted to the court were baseless.
Justice Devan Ramachandran bench considered the petition and passed the order. In the petition filed, the makers have stated that the complainant has nothing to do with the movie ‘Marivillain Gopuramal’ and will proceed with legal criminal action against this complaint filed against persons of good standing in the society.
