Subi Suresh bid farewell to Kerala’s arts, politics, and culture in the presence of thousands of people. The funeral rites were completed at Cheranallur crematorium around 4 pm. When it was laid out for public viewing at Warapuzha Puthanpally auditorium, opposition leader VD Satheesan also came to pay his last respects.
Subi, who was undergoing treatment for a long time due to liver disease, died last morning at Rajagiri Hospital in Kochi. Subi was a dazzling star who came directly to the stage at a time when men dressed as women in stage shows. Subi Suresh was the female presence in the comedy troupe of Ramesh Pisharati, Dharmajan Bolgatti, and Sajan Palluruthy.
