Fans are waiting for the prequel of Kantara, which is a huge hit across the country. The first look and teaser of the film titled Kantara Chapter 1 was released last year. The shooting of the film has started in the first week of December. Now a new update about the film is coming out.
It is reported that the OTT rights were sold before the shooting of the film was completed. Amazon Prime Videos has bought the OTT rights of the film by spending a huge amount. This revelation has taken place on the platform of announcing the various programs of Amazon Prime Videos in 2024. Rishabh Shetty, the film’s director and lead star, also reached the stage.
Although the second part of Kantara, Chapter 1 will arrive as a prequel. That is, the new film tells what happened to the story told in Kantara. The film is produced by Hombale Films, which produced pan Indian hits like KGF, KGF 2 and Salaar. Kantara was released on September 30, 2022. The Kannada film hit the theaters without much hype or fuss and became a hit all over India.
