Actor Vinayak may be summoned for questioning today in the case of insulting former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The Ernakulam North Police had registered a case against actor Vinayakan for posting a video on social media insulting Oommen Chandy. Sections for incitement and insulting a dead body have been imposed. The case was taken on the complaint of Youth Congress workers. The complaint says that a video was circulated on social media insulting Oommen Chandy.
Meanwhile, Vinayakan will lodge a complaint with the police alleging that Youth Congress workers attacked the house the other day. Vinayakan alleges that the window panes of the flat in Kalur were broken. The attack was carried out by the gang who reached the flat on Stadium Link Road behind Kochi Kalur Stadium. The incident happened around 4 pm. It is reported that the gang broke the windows and tried to break the door.
Those who did the violence came shouting slogans in favor of Oommen Chandy. They were caught and transferred by the police and the security personnel of the flat. Actress Niranjana Anoop apologized for the incident of actor Vinayakan insulting Oommen Chandy. Niranjana said the actor’s statement was extremely insulting and disappointing. The actress’ response was through an Instagram story.“I apologize to the public and to every individual who has been hurt by some of the ill-conceived statements made by someone in the industry, myself included. It is an extremely insulting and disappointing statement from the actor. I would like to say this here in honor of the beloved Jananayaka whom everyone loves and respects. And praying for the peace of the deceased”, Niranjana Anoop wrote.
