Rajinikanth, India’s film superstar, will next be seen in the suspense movie ‘Jailer,’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The producers have been bringing in major stars from many industries, which further adds to the film’s strength. ‘Jailer’ was supposed to be released in theatres this summer 2023. However, it appears that the filming has not yet been completed, and it is expected to be done by April of this year. Furthermore, the directors of ‘Jailer’ have decided to keep the film’s expectations low, as official updates have been arriving without any build-up.

Also, Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is set to release on April 28, and the directors of Rajinikanth’s film did not want to compete at the box office with the historical drama. As a result, ‘Jailer’ will be released in theatres in August, extending the fans’ wait even more.

Rajinikanth will play Jailer Muthuvel Pandian in the thriller drama, which also stars Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi, and Redin Kingsley. One more Bollywood actor is anticipated to join the cast, and the directors will make an official announcement when the celebrity from the North begins filming. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, and the film marks his third association with Rajinikanth.

Jailer, directed by Kalanithi Maran and produced by Sun Pictures, features music by Anirudh Ravichander.  The film’s star cast is growing in size and quality. Vijay Karthik Kannan is in charge of the camera, and Stun Siva is in charge of the stunts for Jailer.

Meanwhile, rumors have circulated that the Rajinikanth-starrer has been postponed. Following the success of his previous film, Beast, director Nelson Dilipkumar is taking his time to complete the shot of his ambitious new picture. However, the producers will issue an official statement soon.
