The director had earlier clarified that Ajithkumar will play a character that has not been seen before. Manju Warrier will be the heroine in the movie. The other actors in the movie are Veera, John Koken, Samudra Kani, and Telugu actor Ajay. The director himself has written the screenplay of Thunivu.
After Valimai, Ajith, H Vinod, and Boney Kapoor are teaming up for Thunivu. The recently released movie Racey Chilla Chilla became a hit with the audience and the song has already got more than 10 million views. The song Kasethan Kadavuladaye sung by Vaishakh, Manju Warrier, and Gibran was also released.
