Rai-directed film, which also features Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth, is about the unwavering bond between a brother and his sisters. The producers have so far captured viewers’ attention with an engaging trailer and emotionally stirring songs that have the public anticipating Raksha Bandhan. And now that the family drama’s premiere is less than a month away, Akshay has surprised fans with previously unreleased BTS images of the cast.
Akshay posted a number of photos from the set where he and his co-stars were having fun on Instagram. Aanand L. Rai was seen hugging Akshay in one of the photos, and a brother and sister were seen sharing an emotional moment in another. Akshay was beaming in one photo as he posed on the sets with the girl gang, making for the ideal snap. “A film celebrating the most special bond where there genuinely was a lot of bonding. Sharing a few special moments of this very special film, coming to a theatre near you in 1 month” Akshay captioned the picture, Akshay wrote with a heart emoticon.

Raksha Bandhan will clash with Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan at the box office on August 11. In addition to the Aanand L Rai film, Akshay’s upcoming filmography includes such titles as Ram Setu, OMG 2, Mission Cindrella, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Gorkha, etc.
