Maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s eagerly awaited movie Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer is out and lead actress Alia Bhatt has done an outstanding job. The film is adapted from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Ganga Harjivandas, a simple girl of Kathiawad.
Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer brings us into the existence of Gangubai played by Alia Bhatt. SLB’s stupendous adventure is set in the mid-60s and shows the main woman in the house as the brothel owner and matriarch.

The film additionally includes Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Indira Tiwari, and Varun Kapoor in supporting jobs. Actors Ajay Devgn, Huma Qureshi, and Emraan Hashmi have special appearances. The film is also the debut of Shantanu Maheshwari and Varun Kapoor on the big screen.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is scheduled to deliver on February 25, 2022, in theaters. It is delivered by Bhansali Productions and Jayantilal Gada’s Pen India Limited. As per reports, the film will also have its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. Other than Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn will be seen sharing space in SS Rajamouli‘s RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. Ajay has previously worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the 1999 film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Gangubai Kathiawadi is Alia’s first project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
