On September 30, the colossal historical drama “Ponniyin Selvan” will make its world premiere in five different languages. Kerala has been selected as the first venue for the key actors of “Ponniyin Selvan” to visit as part of a big campaign that will begin tomorrow. The “Ponniyin Selvan” team had long planned to travel to Thanjavur, the seat of the Chola dynasty, but all of their journeys were postponed because of unforeseen circumstances, disappointing the Thanjavur fans.

The “Ponniyin Selvan” crew will go to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata in the next few days. The cast of “Ponniyin Selvan” will be present for the promotion trip, including Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and a few more. Mani Ratnam might not be there, though, as he will likely be occupied with the movie’s finishing touches.

The first section of the movie “Ponniyin Selvan,” which will be released in two parts, will run for two hours and fifty minutes. The movie has already begun taking reservations in the USA, and the demand is so great that the seats are selling out quickly. AR Rahman is scoring the music, and the composer is working on the film’s final sound mixing.

Its star-studded ensemble is one of the reasons why the project has been in the headlines since it began. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play Nandini, Vikram will play Aditya Karikalan, Karthi will play Vanthiyathevan, Trisha will play Kundavai, and Jayam Ravi will play Arunmozhi Varman in the film. In addition to them, the first episode of the two-part series will have significant roles for Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Mani Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaran, producers at Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, provided the financial backing for the film. While Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman contributed the songs and the background score, Ravi Varman turned on the camera for the production. In addition to this, A. Sreekar Prasad has edited the flick.
