Dhanush, the National award-winning actor is also a well-known playback singer and lyricist. The multi-faceted talent has penned lyrics and lent his voice to many chartbusters in his career, including ‘Megham Karukatha’ from the recent blockbuster Thiruchitrambalam. Interestingly, Dhanush is now set to turn lyricist once again, for his upcoming project Vaathi. The first single of the highly anticipated project, which is helmed by the renowned Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri, is slated to release on November 10, Thursday.
A preview of the first single from the movie Vaathi was just released by National Award-winning composer GV Prakash, who also wrote the original score and lyrics for the movie. “Vaathi / Sir first single from 10th… a poet-u @dhanushkraja lyric… @ramojiwrites Telugu… sung by Shweta… hope you all like this lovely melody..,” wrote the talented musician, as he shared a video with leading man-lyricist Dhanush on his official Twitter handle. In the video, GV Prakash can be seen playing the song’s melody on his piano while Dhanush can be seen performing the song while standing close to the musician.
It is clear from the song video that the first single from Vaathi is a lovely melody with a chance to become an immediate chart-topper. Dhanush continues to astound with his beautiful performance of the tune, which initially tells the romance from the viewpoint of a woman. The debut track from Vaathi is currently being highly anticipated by Dhanush fans and music enthusiasts alike.
The film, which is directed by Venky Atluri, is Dhanush’s first multilingual endeavor. The gifted actor plays a young teacher in Vaathi, which is being released in Telugu under the title Sir, who is driven to reform the faltering educational system. The female lead in the Sithara Entertainment-produced film is played by Samyuktha Menon.
