Long-distance truck driving is usually seen as a man’s job. But Rhino Sasaki, a young truck driver from Japan, challenged the practice and got the job done on social media.

Rhino Sasaki was the daughter of a truck driver in Kochi Prefecture, Japan. But she never had the idea of being a truck driver until her father became ill seven years ago. The father of the ailing Rhino Sasaki continued to work. But she could not bear to see her father traveling alone on a road thousands of miles away from home. There is no one to take care of the father. Rhino, 21, who was working as a traditional dance teacher at the time, received a truck driver’s license. And decided to join his father on long journeys. She also tried to teach her dance classes. But she could not get home on time because she was driving thousands of miles across the country.

Sasaki hopes that his popularity will inspire other Japanese women to enter the transportation industry.
