According to a MacRumors report, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will showcase a design influenced by the iPhone 14 model, marking a significant departure for the iPhone SE series. Apple has historically released SE models resembling the iPhone 8 design, making this shift a notable change that is likely to capture consumer interest. Previously, speculations hinted at an iPhone XR-like design for the SE; however, it’s now suggested that Apple aims to present the SE 4 with a fresh design, steering away from the outdated aesthetic. The report hints at a single rear camera, resembling the design aspects of the iPhone XR or iPhone SE 3.

In terms of notable changes for the fourth-generation SE, one key update is the incorporation of the action button. The action button, first introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro series, replaces the existing alert slider—a notable feature to be included in a mid-range model like the SE. Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to adopt a USB-C port, aligning with Apple’s future iPhone models. Face ID will replace Touch ID, and an OLED display is anticipated, replacing the previous LCD display. The camera specifications are set to include a 48-megapixel sensor, while the device will be powered by either the A17 Pro or A18 Bionic chip, promising significant enhancements in battery life and performance. With these upgrades, an increase in the phone’s price is anticipated. The iPhone SE 2 was initially priced at $399, which was raised to $429 for the SE 3. The SE 4th generation is expected to offer more, potentially reaching a price point of around $600.
