Ship Kollam

There are signs that 18 blocks in the deep sea off Kollam have been found to contain crude oil. Exploration will shortly start in blocks 10 nautical miles off the coast of Kollam. Public sector organization Oil India Ltd. has also agreed to conduct mining operations in one of these blocks in addition to exploring it.

A three-phase exploration will be the initial stage of the project to look for fuel. A private corporation located in Delhi has been making plans to charter a sizable survey vessel for this objective. Tugs will be present to provide the ship with gasoline, food, and water for the crew as well as to keep fishing boats, yachts, and other boats away from it.

The Kollam port will serve as the main hub for tugs supplying food and fuel to the ship throughout the journey. The start of mining is scheduled for the middle of next year if the presence of crude oil is confirmed. After erecting a sizable iron platform in the midst of the ocean, the mining will be finished. This platform will be used to pass massive pipelines to the ocean floor. In case mining begins, the Kollam port’s capacity to store enormous pipelines has been examined.

Fishing boats and boats will not be allowed during exploration and mining. There will be tugs around to deliver food and water to crews on expedition ships. Fuel and food will be delivered to the ship at Kollam Port. Reports are coming out that the expedition will start here soon.
