Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’ OTT platform rights sold at a huge price

Vijay Deverakonda is good to go to captivate the crowd with his much-advertised impending film ‘Liger’. The film, which is based on mixed martial arts, has seen huge interest. Approaching its release, ‘Liger’ shooting has wrapped up, as the frenzy strengthens. It is being accounted for that the film’s OTT privileges are being sold at a huge amount. Evidently, a well-known OTT platform paid an astounding Rs 65 crore for the OTT rights of Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday‘s ‘Liger’. Assuming that the reports are reliable, it is the greatest OTT bargain in South Indian film. With such a tremendous sum being guaranteed for the post-release rights, the weighty buzz around the release is possible.
Helmed by director Puri Jagannadh, the film is about an slumdog, who ascends to turn into an MMA fighter, directly from the roads of Mumbai. Playing a kid from the Mumbai roads, who turns into a global boxing champion, Devarakonda will be found in the mass avatar. Scheduled to hit the venues on August 25, the film will include America’s former professional boxer, Mike Tyson, in an important role. Makrand Deshpande, Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, and others will be seen in critical jobs also.

Liger‘ is produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmy Kaur, and Karan Johar under the standard of Puri Connects as a team with Dharma Productions. The technical team includes Vishnu Sharma taking care of the camera and Mani Sharma creating music. ‘Liger’ marks Puri Jagannadh’s first-time collaboration with Vijay Devarakonda. The film will launch Vijay Deverakonda on a pan-India level.
