Together with his co-star Ananya Panday, the actor is aggressively promoting the movie in several locations and attracting attention for all the right reasons. He recently talked with the press in Hyderabad as part of promotions, and spectators were captivated by his amusing responses.
When asked about online trolls by a reporter, Vijay Deverakonda responded angrily. He replied, “it’s common, it’s an everyday thing. Even before I became an actor, aunties, and uncles used to troll about results, college, job, etc and now it’s social media trolling. Be it anything, trolling is always there.”

The actor also addressed rumors linking the movie Liger to Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. He added, “It’s nothing to Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi and it’s not related to it too. In Liger, we are doing MMA, which is very much from boxing and the entire drama. The son and mother bond and the sentiment are very important in Liger and other than that there is no similarity with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. I’m a fan of that movie and I really liked it, it’s my favorite. Also, I’m not somebody who will do remakes, so Liger is not related to Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. When you watch the movie you will understand.”
In addition to Ronit Roy playing his coach and Ramya Krishna playing his mother in this action comedy, which also has a legendary boxer, Mike Tyson, in a lengthy cameo, VD plays an MMA fighter with a speech impediment. Ananya Panday plays his love interest. The movie is co-produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Puri Jagannadh in both Hindi and Telugu.
