‘Viduthalai Part 1 ‘Arrives OTT With An Extra 16-Minute Director’s Cut

Vetrimaran’s Viduthalai Part 1 was one of the notable films in Tamil cinema this year. The film is scripted by Vetrimaran and Jayamohan based on a short story written by Jayamohan titled Thunaivan. The first part of the two-part period crime thriller hit the theaters on March 31. The movie which has won a great audience has now started screening in OTT as well. The film is starting today on the leading platform Zee 5 but not the theatrical release version. Rather, it is the director’s cut that contains more scenes. The length of the theatrical version was 2 hours and 16 minutes, while the length of the Director’s Cut in OTT is 2 hours and 32 minutes. That’s 16 minutes longer than the theatrically released version. That’s why the OTT version is available for those who liked watching the movie in the theater.

Vitutalai was a dream project that Vetrimaran had been carrying in his mind for the past 15 years. He initially thought of doing it with a budget of 4 crores, but later he got a producer who could do it with an investment of 40 crores. Vijay Sethupathi plays another important role in the film, which also stars Suri. Vijay Sethupathi is seen in a different getup in the film. Produced by Elred Kumar under the banner of RS Infotainment. Distributed by Red Giant Movies. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bhavani Sri, Prakash Raj, Rajeev Menon, Chetan, and others are playing other characters. The cinematography is by R Velraj. Music by Ilayaraja, Editing by R Ramar, Sanghatanam by Peter Hay.
