Veteran Kannada director KV Raju dies in Bengaluru

Renowned Kannada director KV Raju inhaled his last at his home today (December 24) in Bengaluru. The maker’s mortal remains were kept at his home for public respect. He was let go today, December 24, in Bengaluru. KV Raju had been suffering from prolonged illness for the past few months. His passing came as a deep shock to everybody in the Kannada entertainment world.

Kannada movie director KV Raju passed away on December 24 in Bengaluru. Director Suni, Raghu V Shastry, lyricist and director Arasu Anthare, and entertainer Sai Kumar took to online media to offer last respect to KV Raju.

Sai Kumar stated, “I am shocked and saddened to hear the untimely demise of KV Raju avaru. My condolences to the family and fans. #OmShanti #KVRaju (sic).”

ABOUT KV RAJU

KV Raju started his career as an assistant director for the film, Baddada Hoo in 1982. After two years, in 1984, he made his first time at the helm with Olavve Baduku. A couple of years later his debut, Raju directed many super hit films. Yuddhakanda, Belli Modagalu, Huliya and Belli Kalungura are a portion of the hit films.
In 1991, KV Raju directed  Indrajeet, which included Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Pradha in lead jobs. He also directed two other Hindi films, ‘Udhar Ki Zindagi’ (1994) and ‘Khooni Jung’ (2004). He is recognized for his powerful, strong, realistic dialogues and sharp editing. He also gave opportunities to Kannada actors Devraj, Jaggesh, and Shashikumar who went on to become big stars. His child, Amogh, is holding back to make his Kannada debut with the film, The Color of Tomato.
