Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the Yashoda actress, is primed to make her mark in Bollywood after spreading her enchantment in the South. The diva is working with Varun Dhawan on Raj and DK’s Citadel. “the mission is on…we have started rolling for the Indian installment of Citadel.” she posted on Instagram, sharing the happy news.
The creators also unveiled a poster of the stunning actress as a sarcastic avatar. She was photographed wearing a brown leather jacket, matching sunglasses, and black denim. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan also welcomed his co-star on board with the following words, “Welcome to the team @Samantharuthprabhupffl.”
Samantha will not be a part of Citadel because of her health, according to earlier rumors. But that is not true. As part of their roles, Samantha and Varun Dhawan will be seen executing high-octane action sequences. According to rumors, the Citadel team has brought on a Hollywood stunt director. Both Varun and Samantha are expected to have a toned body for Citadel and have already begun working on it. Meanwhile, they will begin their martial arts training in late August, with the show anticipated to premiere in late September or early October. The training will last around one month. Raj and DK are now fine-tuning the script and will begin casting for the supporting cast in August. The producers are also bringing in a Hollywood action director to choreograph the big combat sequences.
Shaakuntalam, a much-anticipated mythical drama, will be Samantha’s next film. Shakuntala, a film based on Kalidas’ famous play, will be directed by Gunasekhar. The epic love story of princess Shakuntala and king Dushyanta will be featured. While Samantha will play the title character, Dev Mohan will play King Dushyanta. In addition, Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha will appear in the film.
