Fans are eager to see Mani Ratnam’s film Ponniyin Selvan. The film is all set to release in theaters on 30th December. A picture of Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently trending on social media as the movie is getting closer to its premiere. A BTS image of Trisha as Kundavai and Aishwarya as Nandini taking a selfie from the sets of their much-awaited face-off sequence is going viral online.
Aishwarya portrays the role of queen Nandini, while Trisha plays Princess Kundavai. In the story, there are two antagonistic individuals. And there is an ultimate face-off scene in Ponniyin Selvan I between these two, which is said to be the biggest highlight.

The director reportedly warned Trisha and Aishwarya Rai not to become close friends off-camera. Trisha Krishnan spoke about working with Aishwarya. “I fortunately got to meet her and interact with her on the day one of my shoot. She is beautiful inside and out, I don’t even need to say that. The thing is, this was challenging because we are not supposed to like each other too much in this film, but we got along pretty famously on set. There were times when Mani sir would come and say, ‘listen, you guys are taking too much, stop talking, I can’t have this camaraderie for my scene.”
In the film, Vikram will play Aditya Karikalan, Karthi will portray Vanthiyathevan, and Jayam Ravi will play Arunmozhi Varman. In addition to them, the first episode of the two-part series will have significant roles for Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. On September 30, Ponniyin Selvan will arrive in the movie theatres.
