Prabhas’ uncle, Krishnam Raju known as ‘Rebel Star’ passes away

Today in Hyderabad, the renowned Telugu actor Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju, also known as Krishnam Raju, passed away. According to reports, he passed away early on Sunday at 3.25 am. He was receiving treatment at a private hospital, according to sources. The actor had been dealing with health concerns for some time. In his career, Krishnam Raju appeared in more than 183 full-length movies. Because of his rebellious acting style, he was commonly regarded as the “Rebel Star.” Monday afternoon will see the administration of his final rites.

Krishnam Raju, who was born on January 20, 1940, in Mogalthur, West Godavari district, made his acting debut in the 1966 movie Chilaka Gorinka with Krishna Kumari. The film was directed by Kotayya Pratyagatma. He appeared in a number of popular movies, including Viswanatha Nayakudu, Antima Theerpu, Bobbili Brahmanna, Bhakta Kannappa, Sita Ramulu, Taxi Driver, Jeevana Tarangalu, Krishnaveni, and many more. He played a role in the mythical movie Sri Krishnavataram alongside N. T. Rama Rao. N. T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao, two well-known actors, have worked with Krishnam Raju on numerous occasions. Additionally, he co-starred in a number of movies alongside the well-known actors Krishna Kumari, Rajasulochana, Jamuna, and Kanchana.

Producer Krishnam Raju supported hit films like Bhaktha Kannappa, Thandra Paparayudu, and Billa under his Gopikrishna Movies label. He last appeared in Radhe Shyam, a movie starring Prabhas, where he played the part of Paramahamsa.

Krishnam Raju eventually pursued a career in politics in addition to acting in movies. The seasoned performer was the country’s first actor to hold the position of Union Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s administration. In 1999, he was elected from Narsapuram and served as a central minister. His wife Shyamala Devi, daughters Praseedi, Prakeerthi, and Pradeepthi are the only people left to carry on his legacy. Prabhas, who plays Baahubali, is his nephew.
